I will be getting a MCs within the next couple weeks. All that I know is it is an '04, black on black, and an mtx. My very first question...is there a VIN decoder which I can enter in and it will tell exactly what model / packages the mini has? I used to own a neon and there was a program like this which always proved to be very helpful.
There is such a thing; MINI dealers have it. Give one a call with your VIN and get the scoop. Also might check your in-service date while you're at it. Good to know for warranty purposes. And don't forget to join your local MINI club!
Thanks for the info. Will any BMW dealer be able to look this info up? I'm already kind of bummed because someone told me that the nearest dealership service center for MINIs is in Columbus, OH.
Welcome to NAM. I'm not certain about the vin look-up, but I do know for a fact that BMW can't replace a key. For that and other things, it's a MINI dealership.
