2007 MINI Cooper comments

I must say this about the cooper....I was a jeep die-hard.....I owned jeep CJ's and wanglers for over 11 years. I was the slow driver who stayed in the right lane and let everone in and pass me. The only things I passed going to work were "Hitchhikers" and people with flats. I bought a 2007 minicooper, British Racing Green with tan leather and I'm a new kid again....I've turned into a "Rude" lane swapping speed demon. I push the "sport" button... and off to the wild blue yonder.. I'm going to get a ticket....I can't say enough good about the cooper...the little car with a bonnet is awesome...I did not drive the "turbo" motor...the non-turbo is fine with me...The guys at work told me to water it and it will get bigger...what do ya think...?

Yeah, a guy saw me washing my MINI in the driveway and asked me "what do you dry that thing with, a napkin? Of course he was driving a E350 extended van. These cars do put the fun back in driving.

Welcome to NAM, John!!! I have friends who love their Wranglers, and I'm sure there are places where they would rightly be the vehicle of choice...but for pavement (yeah, the things most of us actually drive on) ya can't beat a MINI!!! One really has to drive a MINI a bit before the true appreciation sinks in. Most folks simply don't get it.

As for the watering.....why would they want it bigger?!?! It is bigger when compared to a classic Mini and even marginally over R50/53. If they want bigger than they need to look at a Clubman maybe???

I think you should tell them it shrunk because you left it out in the rain. I'd also get a V1 and remember, although your MINI may be able to handle crazy driving, the other people on the road who will over-react to your antics are in vehicles that can't. Getting yourself or someone else hurt or killed will certainly take the fun out of driving your MINI.

You can tell them..."Small on the outside...big on the inside!"...or..."It's really big where it counts!"....(mostly in reference to the speedometer!"
