new owner?

Hi, I registered a while back and didn't go thru with buying my wife a mini yet. I think we've found a decent one but I'd like some opinions on what I've found. I'm having a hard time figuring out this site's search function.
It's an 04 with 39,000 miles. At a local non mini dealership. Don't know anything about this dealer as they've only been in our town 6 months. It was an auction bought mini. It has a few stone chips that were touched up and 2 of the rims have slight "curb" damage. It runs sweet. Feels as strong as a few "s" models we test drove before. Seems well taken care of for $15,400.
Is this a decent price? Anything to look for before buying? I think I've found a deal but wanted your opinions first. Its silver with black stripes with black top, leather, sunroofs, 5 sp, probably the usual equip for the standard cooper.
Please offer any feedback. We are thinking about it over the weekend.

Welcome to NAM my friend. The price seems not too bad.

I would ask the dealer to run a Carfax report on it - to see if there is any background on the car. Ask if there are 2 keys and the valet key - if not - not the end of the earth - but a 2nd key is quite expensive to buy and get programmed - just FYI. Keep us posted...

Welcome to NAM. I agree with Donna/Mike. A second key is very expensive. I had a report done on my used Mini before buying her. It was worth it because I haven't had any trouble at all.
