Cello

A large percentage of my motoring occurs in North America, so this seemed an appropriate online community for me to join.

Specifications of mein whippage, in no particular order:
  • 2004 DS S
  • No packages or chrome
  • Aero front bumper and skirts
  • 05+ JCW engine kit (no flaps or center resonator)
  • GP Intercooler
  • JCW brakes w steel lines
  • JCW suspension
  • H-Sport Comp rear bar
  • JCW front strut bar
  • Pilo rear bar
  • TRD PR 1.2s
  • Azenis RT615s
  • Ultrik ssk
  • Black PIAA 520s on Madness mounts
  • Sparco Evo
I enjoy smoking large-displacement vehicles with what their drivers perceive to be a silly little clown car.

I suspect that was "Hello." Smoking! Of course my son drives an 82 vW Cabriolet with a cello where the back seat used to be. It smokes, but not other cars.

No I meant "cello" as a sort of humorous thang. My son plays a cello, too. He's only 5, so no car yet. But he does smoke. The cello, that is.

Sweet! Mine took out the back seat of his cabrio (not an un-MINI like car) and took it to Alaska. This summer I'm flying up and together we'll drive back, with the Cello in the back seat. He'll be doing his last two years of college in Germany. This means I'll have my 05 hyper blue cabrio, and his 82 Black as an Ashman's heart cabrio to tend to. One to drive and one to fix!

Forget fixing the VDub. I would just drive the Mini.

I know . . . but there is the parental instinct. How sweet when he comes back from Germany to find his car with upolstery covering the entire seat and paint covering the entire body! It might be nice to find a 200 hp 1.8l turbo where his tired iron sits now. He'll be gone for two years. If I get it fixed in one . . . .

There isn't anything better than working on a broken car. Washing your hands, then going for a drive in the MINI.
