You might want to try zapgrab.net for a better screenshot program.

Interesting stuff Jan! I see you chose to spec it such that max gain is in the midrange. This will certainly be a hit with street driven MINI's where mid-range torque is king. Great price too!

Any plans for a cam for those higher RPM/track junkies where some low RPM torque can be given up for maximum 5k RPM+ torque?

Just get the Rotrex kit. Peak TQ is around 6800 . I can't wait to see what this cam will do along with all the other new parts for the kit on my car. I talked to Jan's fab guru today and he thinks he will be done next week.

Id really like to see your car dyno on a differnt dyno. Blah blah blah.. all dynos are differnt etc... but yours always seems to read WAY higher than most.

Also, you should really run that car on the the track... id really like to see what kind of power it makes...

Yes... the one that just has a straight away and a xmas tree at the beginning... i know you are a roadie... but.. hey... at least there is a record at stake... just make sure you do it on street tires...

if I wanted a 1/4 car, I'd buy a Fox body, crate motor and big blower.

oh, and tires. lots of them.

ditto...

and whats the point in running a 1/4 on street tires?

and he is supposed to dyno on his machine, drive to another, dyno it there, drive back to his shop, do the mods, then drive back to the other to have it done again? The deltas will (should) be the same anyway.

I have yet to see a shop with a automotive dyno that is traceable to the NIST, so it really doesn't matter. They're really only good for comparison runs under similar environmental conditions. This is perfectly acceptable when evaluating prospective gains from particular mods. If Jan is posting before and after numbers from the same dyno under as close as possible environmental conditions, that's perfectly legit IMHO.

Jan, do you have any numbers yet with your cam and the JCW head?

Nope... he should just dyno his car on another dyno and compair it to his... thats all i am interested in... I just want to see how differnt his is versus others... That would be ridiculous to expect him to do what you had suggested.

And as far as running the 1/4 on street tires... well since you really aren't into drag racing I would just be waisting my breath... but here is just one hint on top of many... he wouldn't have to go out and buy drag radials or slicks etc... he can just run what he brung that way he doesn't have to spend money on something he isn't that into...

Here is another look of the stroker vs Danny's 262whp beast. We changed just the collector on the header and gained 6whp over the previous and 3 peak ft lbs of torque with 5-7 ft lbs in different places throughout the curve It's showing a 22 ft lb gain over the 1.6L and the stroker still has the JCW pulley
