Just got a 2006 JCW New Member

Hi all, I recently decided to get back in the car hobby. I found this Chili Red JCW and took a flyer on it. It has 92k on the clock and a binder of receipts. She needs the AC and CV axles repaired immediately with other maintenance items to be done later. I do my own work as much as possible so I’m looking forward to putting her in service mode and watching Mod Mini repair videos!

Both Axles Replaced

Wow what a mess! Both axles had completely separated boots. Thanks to the Mod Mini YouTube video and a weird ratchet for the carrier bolt that I can’t reach I have succeeded. The ball joints came apart easily since this is a California car and has been garaged.

Now on the AC while I wait for new strut links.

Axle boot failure

New Axle installed
