DIY Blower Motor?
First time posting, long time lurking.
My girlfriend is having problems with her blower motor (edit) on a 2007 cooper hardtop, problem is, it doesn't work. We took it to the dealer, and they confirmed. However, they are asking for 300+ to replace. I was thinking I can just replace it, but there's one problem, I can not find a single post, youtube video, or random article about it.
Only thing I was able to find was this:
And this (but for 1st gen)
http://www.2carpros.com/questions/in...motor-resistor
With the first youtube video, I was able to find where the blower motor is. But I have no idea how to access it, and which panel to take out.
I played around with my JCW and found it,

It looks like it is behind the speedometer? But I am not 100% sure.
If ANYONE has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah,I fix mine blower last weekend,it was quite tricky job! It`s helps take out
"12V wangler unit, alu-shield box" and this metal bracket on firewall, above the pedals. It gives more space and helps the removal of the fan.My fan was really dirty, even if I change the filter once a year.light lubrication oil and compressed air blowing helps. At the same time a little bit cleaning carbon bridge and collector with sandingpaper.I put old fan back ,only use 2/3 T20 screw. it`s runs okay.
