Power Steering Fan question

I noticed the power steering fan (the one underneath the car behind the engine) is no longer spinning. It looks like a pretty easy DIY, but the fan itself is around $130.00.

Before I buy one, is there a fuse somewhere that controls this fan? Maybe it is just blown?

Think it depends on your model year. On my 03' it is F41.

If you pull the fuse box cover off by the dead pedal, and look at the schematic of symbols stuck on the back, it's the fuse with the symbol of a steering wheel and a fan......

What is the size wrench needed for the mounting bracket for the PS fan? The fan is held by the four screws but I need to get the bracket off to get the fan out. I read about 40 - 50 pages of the huge PS failure thread but couldn't find the bolt size. I need it to buy the wrench to take it off since my new fan just got here. Thanks in advance

Ah! The fuse was blown!! I guess this is because the fan is stuck and needs to be replaced. I just bought a replacement. Looks like a simple DIY.

I know this is a bit late, but you need a 13mm socket to remove the nuts to remove the mounting bracket. The screws that hold the fan to the bracket are standard Phillips head machine screws.
