Great luck with '07 MCS

In November 2009 I bought an '07 MCS with 18,000 miles on it. I know some people have had a rough time with these cars but mine was great. I didn't spend a penny on repairs until I had the clutch replaced at just over 100k. I normally do my own work, but it was bitter cold and I just didn't feel like digging into a clutch job. At 45K the thermostat was replaced; somewhere around 70K the timing chain and tensioner were replaced; and the high-pressure fuel pump and auxiliary water pump were replaced after that -- all under warranty. Recently the cam cover cracked and it sounded like it was going to need a timing chain again, and it was missing on two cylinders so it was ready for a carbon cleaning. I went to the dealer to get parts for repairs and decided to trade it on a 2013 JCW. The 07 had about 106K on it when I traded it two weeks ago -- The JCW had 19K on it. I totally loved my '07 and I totally love the JCW.

Congrats, you'll love the JCW. I bought a 2007 MCS new and drove it for 7 years. Loved that car. Needed HPFP (warranty) and front brakes is all. Traded it in on a new 2014 JCW Coupe. What a car! Tighter handling, faster acceleration, better braking, better looking, quieter, rides better (has sport suspension), better seats (Recaros). For about $6500 you get quite a bit IMO. Post some pix of yours.
