Nothing magic about MINI glass ware. Safelite can fix you up just fine. We've got an independent here in town has replace mine twice, no worries. It wouldn't hurt though to comment to whoever you take it to about removing and replacing the A covers carefully. There are a few posts herein about the occasional cover flying off into the ditch.

Got some prices
Safelite $318. My Local independent is $341 with the blue/green band across the top and $295 OEM style. As the did work for me while work on CHP Cars will probably go with them the also did our Expedition after it got it's windshield taken out by a 2X4 in a construction site. It was flipped up by passing vehicle.

i have AAA insurance and a $500 dedutable. I have 4 cars insurd and becaue of the number of uninsured drive I keep full coverage on all four. So I am responsible for replacing the windshield.
Ahould I buy the new gaskets or will the installer supply them? I am buying new A pillar trim as teh ones one are scratched and one has some chips so I feel this is a good time to do it. I have read som stories about leaks after windshield replactment sol just want to avoid them if posible.

Everybody's situation is different, that's for sure. Any leaks, water or air - had a loose trim at the top edge once that created a banshee howl at highway speed - can be cured with a sealant touch up. The glass guy squirted in some clear sealant at the source of noise, no charge, and problem solved.
