Yeah I went with that OBDII because it doesn't stick down where the dead pedal is but instead I just run the wire up and that bracket I just custom made out of some 1/8 inch aluminum stock and taped into the dash support. And I just unplug it when I'm not using it to not kill the battery on accident when the car is off. So far I have no complaints.

That was my original concern with the LC1. The measurement wasn't adding up with the space provided in your trick mounting area. It all makes perfect sense!

Also again...nice project

Yep it is awesome handles like a dream I figured out tonite when I went to get some coffee just to have a place to drive and it was wet and didn't even have to worry about the coffee spilling even though I took the curviest road I knew of around it was so stable and controlled in every corner

I went out this weekend and found the best thing to compare a Mini to and also I got a good picture of the courtesy lights finally that everyone asks about. Enjoy and Motor On

It is a MINI OEM accessory I got from ECS that are just pull the old ones out that most don't even work anymore because the little halogen bulb burned out and put the new LED projection assembly in. Very easy

Inspiring build man. Wish I had the skills to do what you've done. You say you're a student, are you in school for mechanical engineering or some mechanical studies or did you learn how to work on things from parents or experience?

I am actually in school studying to be a mechanical engineer right now, but it really came from I have always just had a nack for working on things and acceling at both challenges and anything that was mechanical. My dad and older brother are very mechanical people, but alot of it is just self learning and researching, I will ask help when I need it so I don't screw something up but most of it is just prep and making sure to do everything as best as possible.

Nice work and great attitude. Just curious - what kind of lift is that sitting on in the early pictures or is it sitting on jack stands and there happens to be a scissor type motorcycle lift under it?

It is a snapon scissors lift. It is for cars and very helpful on the mini as hard as everything is to jack on, I used it to lift the car, worked on the car, and when I pulled the front sub frame I just lifted the car put it on jacks and then used the scissors lift the drop the subframe from the car. It all worked awesome making me able to do the subframe drop by myself and put it back up too.

Ok went out color touring this weekend up North by the Traverse City area which was really fun on the curvy roads, even though it was a Michigan crazy weather day. Got some nice shots of Checkered Jack also.

First off looking great!! Just a quick question, Where did you get the checkered flag eye ball stickers for under the headlights?? One of mine is messed up.
