What Manual Transmission Oil to use on Getrag 5 speed?
Been doing some research on this and found that RedLine ATF D6 is recommended on the Getrag 5 speed. Any thoughts since this is an automatic tranny fluid? Anyone use Motul 75w-90? I used to use it on my WRX and worked great, however not all trannies are made the same of course.

For:
07/2004-2006 R50 MINI Cooper Hatchback - BMW MTF LT-3 (GS5-52 BG transmission)
2005-09/2006 R52 MINI Cooper Convertible - BMW MTF LT-3 (GS5-52 BG transmission)
BMW's MTF LT-3 I understand TITAN SINTOFLUID 75W-80 is a suitable replacement.
Cooper GS5-52BG 5-speed:
Fill capacity 1.7 ltr / 1.8 qt
Fill plug torque 20-30 Nm / 15-22 ft-lbs
Drain plug torque 32-40 Nm / 24-30 ft-lbs
NOTE: You can check the sticker on the transmission,
Manual gear box oil MTF-LT-3 is marked with a blue sticker.
Motor on!

In terms of Redline products, this is actually correct.
Redline D6 ATF is the recommended lube from that company
for the Getrag 5-speed and the Getrag 6-speed manual
transmissions without OEM LSD.
Its specs match the BMW MTF LT-3 MTF fairly closely.
Redline MTL is recommended for the Midlands 5 speed and the
Getrag 6-speed with OEM LSD (specs match Texaco MTF-94 well).
When my Midlands died, I swapped in a Getrag 6-speed with a Quaife,
and the shop used Redline D6.
(don't need to use the thicker MTL/MTF-94 with a Quaife LSD like you
do with the OEM type as it's not a friction pack type).
