I am trying to add the Bluetooth system into my 05' R52 cooper s with H/K and want a little clarification on the wiring. I have also purchased a wiring harness from newministuff. I understand how most of it plugs in but I need help with a few wires.

- I have four cable options from the newministuff harness which include a KBUS, permanent live, earth, and a yellow mute cable with bullet connectors.
- Are all these connectors meant to plug into the UNIKA harness and if so to which wire, especially the mute cable. I don't know where the mute goes or maybe it is not needed and left alone.
- I figure the permanent live red wire goes to a 12v source but is it better to run it to a constant wire like the cigarette lighter or a switch source from a fuse?
- I know where the KBUS goes but is the earth wire for the UNIKA harness or for the car? Any help would be much appreciated. I have included a pic of the UNIKA wire harness for reference. Parrot MKi9200 and UNIKA install help-image-1891266671.jpg

Your post isn't easy to decipher but I've had a go.
- Are all these connectors meant to plug into the UNIKA harness and if so to which wire, especially the mute cable. I don't know where the mute goes or maybe it is not needed and left alone.
MUTE is an input not an output.
I figure the permanent live red wire goes to a 12v source but is it better to run it to a constant wire like the cigarette lighter or a switch source from a fuse?
The answer is in the question. A permanent live should not be connected to a switched source. All feeds will be fused.
- I know where the KBUS goes but is the earth wire for the UNIKA harness or for the car? Any help would be much appreciated. I have included a pic of the UNIKA wire harness for reference.
Not sure about the question here at all but there should be several GND wires, at least one must be connected to the vehicle GND and all units must be GNDed or they won't power up.

Thanks for the reply back. Here is a picture of the newministuff harness and quick description from him which I assume is the wiring for the unika mfsw harness. The one thing I don't know for sure is where the mute goes to since he has it written to go through the adapter. The adapter I have for the unika does not have a spot for mute.

MUTE is an input. If you have an aftermarket BT car kit, connect the MUTE output from the car kit to the MUTE input of the harness.
