What percent charge can I get in 2 hours at 60 amps?
At 40 amps at home I can get a 50% charge increase in 2 hours (i.e. - from 20% to 70%). Extrapolating to 60 amps, I should get about 75% in 2 hours. Is this about right in real life?
I'm planning my trip to the west coast meetup next weekend in Long Beach. Round trip should be about 210 miles and I'll (hopefully) be able to use a 60 amp Clipper Creek box on the way there and back again. If I can't, and I have to recharge using 110v, how comfortable is spending the night in the Mini E?
Wow, no activity here for nearly a month! I guess everyone has migrated to the Facebook group.
Anyway, to close out my thread, I was able to use the 60 amp boxes in Brea on my trip down and back. At both stops, I was at between 20% and 25% state of charge, and two hours worth of charging brought me up to nearly 100%. Not bad compared to charging at home. Plus, it was free!
Details of the meet-up are on my blog (linked below). The next west coast meet-up is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 7 in Brea, can't wait!
