I wish someone would develop a cool spoiler for the MINI similar to the spoiler on the new TVR Sagaris, now that would be a cool look! The fact that it is aluminum and smoke composite plexi curved would be an eye catcher!
Call me stupid. I just ordered a Cooper S with Sport, Premium and cold weather (no aero kit). I wasn't sure if the spoiler comes with that or if I am going to get a regular old no spoiler look? I really like the look of the Aero Kit spoiler and the regular S spoiler. If it doesn't come with anything, i might just have to get that Aero Kit spoiler for $270!! Sounds like a great price!

Hey guys.
Just came back from universal mini (los angeles). I have to say, if it wasn't because they had the car I exactly wanted I would have thought otherwise...they have no clue at the parts dept.
Ok, so I went there and asked for the aero kit rear spoiler. He said it only comes for the cooper not the s.... (please help me here!!) After trying to explain him, he finally agreed to tell me about the colors.
White, Black, and primed, great! But my car is JEt Black...how can I make sure that the spoiler is going to match my Jet Black mini?
If you guys have better mini parts vendors please let me know, because I am getting a little frustrated with my local mini shop.
thanks again.
PS: that whole bondo deal sounds messy...is that how they originally install the spoiler?...do they need to drill extra holes?

The Aero Kit spoiler will work on either the Cooper of the S. It's the same part in either case.

I would call another dealership. I know for a fact back when I did this, Ralph Schomp MINI in Denver said the Aero Kit spoiler was available pre-painted from MINI in all of the roof colors, not just black and white. Ralph Schomp MINI stocked white, black, and primed, but they did have access to the other colors. The MINI Accessories catalog only listed primed I believe. If they did a look-up on their parts computer for the spoiler that's where R.S. MINI found the other part numbers. You could always give their parts department a call to get the part numbers (303) 798-1500 (ask for MINI parts).

No holes need to be drilled for the Aero Kit Spoiler. That said, I took mine to a bodyshop (in Denver) and had them remove my S spoiler and install the aerokit spoiler. They charged my $60 and I had to leave the car with them for most of the day to let the bond setup.
Do you have wider angle pic that shows the rest of the car?
Hi, I also have the Orciari 3-piece wing, not the whole kit, but just the wing. Here are some extra shots (not close-ups, but show the car, like you wanted)...
Hope this helps, I can get more pics if you want/need.
Take it easy,
Leo.
Does anyone know if any of these spoilers actually produce down force or reduce turbulence or are they all glued on plastic ornaments like the original S spoiler?
That kit (DS MCS) does look like the base from a Orciari kit, much fabricated a lot also...like the splitter in the front, and different side skirts, etc.

No...as i said earlier, it doesnt share anything with the orciari
If anything its based off of this body kit. Notice how the wider arches are pretty much the same, and the sideskirts are similar
Nicely done car here. But for those of you who strip off the badges, what you think of the HUGE MINI badge on the boot?
Regarding wings: Do any of these really do anything?
