AC is Aesthetic Creations, one of the vendors here on NAM. They make (among other things) vinyl stickers to cover the warning labels on the visors.

I have the black MINI wings. They look good.

If you are expecting it to blend in to the visor material, no. It is a different material with a different relectivity, and probably a different tone value. All I can say is that the ones with the MINI wing logo look like they belong. A person not savvy in what comes with a MINI would think they were factory installed.

Wouldn't it look odd just having a black rectangle there? With a graphic on it, it makes visual sense. Without a graphic it seems like it would just look like a patch.

My dad pulled his from his BMW using a heat gun. I'm pretty sure the visors were of the same material and the decals were affixed the same way (he at least seems to think they were).
You could probably do the same with a hair dryer running on high/hot setting... plus, less of a chance of melting the visor itself.
As the decal heats up, it starts to deform & detach from the plastic visor and it's easy to peel off. He keeps offering to do mine, too. I just haven't got around to it. Probably try it tonight when I go pick up my spare wheels.

Yes. Nothing against AC, just not my style.
I did them on my R53 by rubbing them with denatured alcohol. It worked pretty well, but I wanted to see if anyone tried this method with the R56.
The heat gun idea is a good one, did it deform the material any?

I removed mine with all the advice that shows up in these forums, but still felt the result a bit less than perfect, so after all that trouble to remove the yellow labels, I went with the AC alternative to cover these areas (where the warning labels had been). I went with the "S" over the checkerboard pattern; having a ton of checkerboard on the car already helped, because they still stand out like the old yellow stickers, but they look naturally part of the car's overall theme now.
I am leaning toward the Mini logo ones that are black in the background. The yellow and black stickers sort of look ok with my yellow color line and black interior.

I went with the same ones as in Robin Cassidy's pictures above..IMHO they look as if they were OEM. The background surface is a bit shinier but you will be the only one to notice the difference.
When I had my M-3 , I used the hair dryer, goo gone technique and there was a shadow where they were removed. Additionaly, (without trying) the MINI warning labels on the R56 look more difficut to remove. Did not want to chance it so I went with AC--great people, top notch service BTW...
