Dressing my Mini like a reindeer?

Don't laugh too much, I'm in the Christmas spirit... I put the antlers on my windows... My question is how to attach the nose to my grill? I have a 2008, all the videos I saw it was easy and the grill came up when you put the hood up. Mine doesn't do that and I don't know how to get it on there, anyone have any ideas?

I put a bow on the front of mine and simply bent the "twisty tie" that was on the bow at over a ninety degree angle like a hook, then pushed it through the grill, twisted it and pulled back a little. This allowed me to grab the end of the twisty and pull it tight.

Here's some pics I took a few years ago at our hospital's parking lot.
Please don't try to do this to your MINI.
