'09 Clubman R55 Water pump replacement Procedure

Anyone have an actual answer?
Got my Clubman JCS partially disassembled, RH inner fender liner removed, I can see the coolant leaking from the cheap plastic waterpump housing, but what comes next?
tia.

Upon further research, I found an excellent write-up here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...placement.html

OK, having done this I can add a few points:
Remove the 3 bolts holding the W/P pulley to the pump flange; loosen all three using a screwdriver against the heads of 2 to prevent the pulley from rotating while loosening the third.
Pull on the idler pulley release tab to loosen the belt tension.
The Bentley book is useful, but only if you already have the engine where they did: on a display stand. For a more typical case, i.e., with the engine in a car, the Bentley manual is damn near useless. I bought both the waterpump and the Bentley book from a certain Tuning shop in Detroit (that you can find by googling those key words), and learned more from the very helpful person I talked to on the phone than I did from the book.
And make d*mn sure you have an aluminum waterpump housing for your replacement: even Mini realize what a complete eff-up that plastic body was, and the official service part is aluminum as well.
Note that if you happen to live in the Dallas area, Sewell Mini has an online presence, and their online parts pricing is hugely lower than what they'll quote you if you simply walk into the Plano store. But, if you insist, the Plano store will honor the internet pricing.
