Hey guys i have an 03 r53 with 150K and just had my crank pulley blow. i am REALLY short on money because of a career change i went with the Atla 0% crank pulley and not the ATI. will someone please tell me i didnt make a huge mistake...the mini is stock besides a 15% sugercharger pulley!!!

 

Non dampened pulleys like that destroy crank bearings, and can even damage oil pump gears. I know this because I've pulled bearings from multiple engines that had the non dampened crank pulley and they looked like they had a million miles on them, not to mention the actual rod knock the car had to begin with causing the engine replacement.

 

Should have gone with stock or ATI.

 

Yeah I know I should have but I changed jobs and haven't been paid in over a month because of the change over, plus only being 23 and just getting out of grad achool I don't have a ton of money as it is. I HAD to get te alta I simply don't have $400 laying around. I know this is a55back wards but when I get my first few pay checks from my first "real" job I'll buy the ATI. I promise! (write that down Way!) maybe 2-3 months I hope won't do too much damage!
