Wheels for autox on a 2019 jcw

I want to buy a set of wheels for autox tires for my 2019 2 dr hardtop JCW. Has to be stock width and within 7mm offset of stock. Having a hard time finding anything that is less than 7.5 wide. What are my options?

Is this based on classification requirements? finding an aftermarket wheel that will meet this and clear the Brembos will be hard. if you need to meet these specs, i'd suggest finding a set of the OE JCW track spokes that someone is trying to get rid of.

With great respect, give up.

Here's a few reasons why I'd say that.

1. Wheels that clear the Brembos are as you have discovered, few and far between - and those that are available are not 17x7, or 18x7 - which is all you can run in D Street
2. You can put 215 on the 7" rims you have - 225 is NOT recommended!
3. The tires matter most for car prep in DS, I run the RE71 myself, although others are good too.
4. There might be a few tenths in light wheels, there might be a second or two in the tires, but the greatest gains are from the driver.

Take it from a gent who has had four Minis in five different classes, taken five Regional Championships, and ALWAYS has had a car that was faster than the driver!

Spend the money on an Evo School is my heartfelt suggestion.

Cheers,

Charlie

PS: I'm banished to STU by the way, and here is my search for traction - for your amusement.

Thanks for the reply dude. I have realized that not only are compatible wheels few and far between, they literally don't exist. I think what I'll do is just tear up the all seasons that came with the car this season, and when those are trash, I'll put RE71s on the stock wheels and order another set of wider/cooler looking/easier to find wheels for my daily driving.

Are those NM wheels in your other thread the 17x7.5 ones?

How did you manage to get them in 17x8? Did you order for a different car? I see you had to machine the center bore, but I can't see an option to buy a 17x8 on their site at all. It looks awesome so I really want to go that route when I end up getting new ones.

Actually I just re-read your post and see that you left contact info for them on there, so I guess I'll do that. Sometimes I don't read good.

I have a set of JCW Black 18x7" wheels that I use for DS AutoX...used three times by this weekend with 215/40.18 Bridgestone RE71Rs...work great but I am moving up to STX/STH on some 17x7.5" wheels. These 18x7's spare wheels were the only set in the US 6 weeks ago...paid $1350.00 for them...look great. Will be selling them after this weekend if you are interested...they are basically just like new...
