I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of either chrome S-lites (if you wanted to make them even heavier) or polished?

I am thinking of getting a polished set and wanted to know if anyone had attempted either with those wheels?

I am still working out the detils of getting this done.. But hope to get a set polished professionally.

In Hawaii we have quite a few chrome S-lytes on the road and find that they do ok if you keep the wheels very clean but they can corrode if you don't. They are definitely heavier than the stock rims and the dealership sent them out to be chromed in California at the time of purchase.

 

My "professional" polisher has said no to me... They are a corporate company the restores OEM wheels. They said it takes too much effort.. But were going to strip, machine and then polish them..

Now, I may try my local guy who would do it all by hand

I really want to polish them, it will save weight and make them look great !

 

Although I just put some ligtweight Centerline polished wheels on, pic below has my beloved chrome s-lites in the pic. There's a guy on eBay that sells OEM chrome wheels for various cars with a core-swap. I bought mine from a guy here on NAM that was disappointed with the winter corrosion he got in the midwest. He sent them back to be re-chromed and I had them drop shipped to me. I'm in LA, so road salt isn't a problem.

I have found another person on the West Coast who said they could polish to make them look like Chrome !!
