I might buy some tires just for summer driving and autocross. I heard that the Falken Azenis RT215 or RT615 would be a good tire for the MINI.

Yes, they rock (if you don't want to pop for R-Compounds, or, as in my case, if you want to avoid being classed differently (BMWCCA autocrossing))... I've been running them for quite awhile now and love them...

Getting a set for myself to race with this season. My pockets don't go so deep to start going through R compounds every couple months.
