2nd gen RFs need special wheels?

I am not sure if this is true, but I heard that the 2nd gen RFs need wheels that have a taller side lip or something like that. In other words, 2nd gen RFs won't work on our wheels and would have to use 1st gen RFs. Is this true? TIA:thumbsup:

You can use 2nd gen RF with EH2+ hump on older MINI rims. The newer made MINI rims are slightly different to help support the newer RF tires due to slightly softer sidewalls they are designed with. I figure the newest rims are better able to support the newest design of runflat tires.

For example you can use-
195/55R16 Goodyear Excellence Runflats on any MINI with 16x6.5" rims (or other suitable rim).

New runflats will work safely with older rims. And the newer runflats are quite a bit better than the older runflats.
