Shift Boot Trim (front console); Version 3.0 is re-engineered for better fitment and integrity and comes with a Transient Glow-in-the-Dark MINI Logo.

Inspiration:
My friend wanted a new shift **** in her MINI, and the trim ring broke when the old one was removed. She wanted to retain the elegance in her JCW by not replacing the trim ring with a popular alternative shifter well trim that exposes the shift rod, making her car look like a race car. To retain the JCW appeal, I designed these trim rings so the red stitch/black leatherette boot could be reused.

What it is:
3D-printed shifter trim and boot/gaiter retainer for Gen 2 MINI Coopers. The material is Nylon-12 reinforced with carbon fiber (PA12-CF) and annealed at 80 C for 6 h. This piece is usually only found grouped with complete boot/shifter **** assemblies costing more than $98. This option offers an inexpensive alternative to keep the original boot stying that came with your MINI if the retainer clips break when replacing shifter components

NOTE:
• Pressure should be applied so the boot clips enter the receptacle evenly (video is here).
• While this adapter is made from similarly rigid material as the OEM (CF-ABS: carbon fiber ABS plastic), clips will break if they are not aligned with the receiving slots in the console. Ensure the clips are "clocked" correctly.
• It is challenging to remove the item from the topside after it's inserted into the console, so, plan accordingly or remove the clips from the bottom.
