Description:

I bought the car in 2022 for $5,500 and proceeded to spend $11,500 for head rebuild, carbon removal treatment, replacement suspension parts, clutch, lightweight flywheel, fuel level senders, fuel pumps, headlights, and many other parts. Also repainted hood and roof to fix old stripe damage (British Racing Green II Metallic; roof and side mirrors changed from black to white). Oil catch can added on intake. Interior is flawless except for small blemish on lefthand driver's door armrest. Tires on 17-inch wheels, brakes, and other wearing parts are great. Car odometer shows 193,147 miles, but it doesn't look like it or drive like it. There is, however, problems: It needs a new CAST module ($1,900 for parts/labor at dealer) and has small oil leaks on engine bottom (dealer reports the problems are the oil filter housing and oil pan gasket). Car drives great and has cold AC. CAST module failure results in false warnings for brake pad wear and dynamic stability control, and sometimes hard to start. The plan was for my daughter to drive it to school during the week and me to have fun on the weekends, but she can't seem to learn to drive a manual, so I am done spending money on this car. It's time for someone else to reset the investment level, so my loss is your gain.
