2005 Mini-Cooper, 6-speed super charged, John Cooper Works package, all stock except for +2% ATI cam pulley/harmonic dampener.

New in last 3000 miles:

·         Alternator

·         Serpentine belt

·         Power steering cooling fan

Comes with Bentley Service Manual.

The old plastic coolant reservoir has been replaced with stainless steel. The flimsy fiberglass oil dip-stick has been replaced with a steel cable type. The starter is only a few years old. Tires have very low miles.

Condition:

Rough. It runs and drives but the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. The front fairings and body clips are all rough. The hood scoop needs new trim. The interior is ok with no holes in the seats. The driver seat height adjustment is stuck. Lots of little plastic bits are worn or in rough shape.
This would be a good base for someone wanting to mod from stock or wanting JCW parts.
Located in Eugene Oregon (is there any decent Mini mechanic in this area?).
I got the car in rough condition in 2018, kept improving it and using it as a daily driver for a 40 mile commute, but I'm trying to finish grad school and can't put any more time/energy/money into it.

Problems:

·         P-codes:

o   P1689 – electric throttle control

o   P0070 – ambient air temp sensor

o   P2096 – post catalyst fuel trim too lean

·         Needs a new catalytic converter (worn out, not stolen) and probably oxygen sensor. Maybe this is a good opportunity to mod the exhaust.
