Good news:
For your consideration is this NLA JCW handbrake grip.
Mk.2 JCW intended for R56 but will work for R53 too, although you must use tape/glue to secure it tightly.
Bad news:
This one has visual damage. Finish is peeling on top portion and a couple of cut marks also visible.
You could live with it as is, or refinish it.
