Don't use white lithium grease...it may be easier but it wont last nearly as long as petrolium grease. I read up a LONG time on the potential issues that can come with VMAXX coils so I was more than prepared when I installed mine

Let me know if it works!

Did you finally buy them?

Here

You're making my day, MiniMoic. I've been side tracked after the accident - threw some $$$ at a JCW front bumper... This should help. Thanks!

I personally love my Vmaxx. I do wish they had camber plates and 2.5" springs up front though. It would make the low life a little easier. They go ridiculously low but if you don't have them cranked down all the way they ride great for coilovers. I personally like the stiffer ride but these are pretty comfortable. But I don't have any complaints other than when they get cold you can hear the springs clunking from them binding. But that's no big deal unless you're just really anal about stuff like that.

How high do they go on highest setting?

I may be right behind you. Are you doing rear lower control arms at the same time? If so, what are you going with?

MiniMoic Jan 23, 2013 10:07 AM

Yes! Megans as they have a couple on the MP-

TheSuspensionSource Jan 24, 2013 03:42 PM

I know ST was mentioned on the last page but as it looks some of you were looking to save a couple bucks and went with another company.

We also have coupon codes that can be used on ST/KW coilovers.

I have, a dozen times. When I try and place my order without even getting my credit card info. it tells me my order has been placed and gives me shipping and a new total. I left another message with this 1xracing site today and I'll see if I get a return phone call today.

By the looks of your sig, you pulled the trigger. How are they working out? I have them in my cart - ready to check out.

Albiecrazy Apr 10, 2013 05:17 PM

Daggum. Not in stock. And I was reading not so great things about 1xracing on another site. Back to the drawing board... Can't seem to find them anywhere for that price.

new to the forums & to the mini life, have a '13 Cooper stuck between Megan Racing, Vmaxx, and BC. after reading I've limited it down to those three.

another thing has anyone felt any vibration after lowering on coilovers on the r56? or can point me in the right direction to another thread.

thanks

Go with the ST coilovers, best IMO and they're like the little brother to KW's. I'm still debating between these and shock/spring upgrade. Plus on the suspensionsource.com they're $1250 right now with Eibach camber plates. Great price, plus very good coilovers.

they go low? That's only reason Vmaxx is nice cause of how low they go but quality I heard wasn't as good as BC. Ill check out the ST. Thanks.

Nice I definitely have to look into them. Thanks. Rather pay more for better quality.

Get the BC's. Best bang for your buck. They come with camber plates, go stupid low, great quality, 2.5" diameter springs for more inner wheel clearance, and have damper adjustments. All for roughly $1000 or less. BC's all the way. If BC made the extreme drop coilovers when I bought my Vmaxx, I would have bought BC's instead of Vmaxx. Vmaxx are way too soft and bouncy. You'll rub like crazy if you plan on going loooooow.

Edit: Oh and the BC's will lay your front bumper on the ground... So no worries about not going low enough...

Or you could check out Broadway Static coilovers. A little more expensive ($1500) but they are amazing quality and use swift springs that are 4" tall and 2.5" wide so they will allow you to lay your frame on the ground if you wanted to but it still keeps great ride quality because of the 4" springs.
