The clearance will only increase with compression. Is that the info you're looking for?

Yah, I was curious about that as well as how low they were threaded. From what I've heard there is always plenty of room to thread them down lower even among cars that are slammed on KW v1's.

Great looking Cooper Coen de K! It looks like you really hunkered down your MINI with those KW V1's!

I also equipped my new R56 with KW V1's. I took a less aggressive approach and set them up to have about the same compression travel as stock. I set the suspension ride height [axle to bottom side of wheel arch apex] at 12.5" front and 12.6" rear. [compared to 14.2" front and rear]

I know this picture won't help as much as it could, but the front threaded portion of the strut is threaded down to the sway-bar drop link tab. A rough guess would be there are 2" of threads below where I have my spring perch set on my R56. Take that with a grain of salt though!

Wow, one of the most beautiful Minis I've seen. Very clean and tasteful. Too bad that the lowered ride with 18" wheels would absolutely kill me on the local roads.

I've read alot of good things about these coilovers - who carries these for the R56?

Ryan what is the ride like on the KW v1's compared to the ride on H&R springs? I know you had H&R's before, i have the same set up at the moment and I'm looking at fitting KW v1's as well.

Hi m8!

I first had a sportplus combi with 3cm lowering springs from spax.. it was a very hard ride.. NOW... 6cm lower.. with KW V1... nice smooth ride!!!

Get the KW's

I agree with Coen_de_K, the KW V1's, even lowered 2" from stock, are more comfortable than any lowering spring for the MINI. It's just simple physics; with the K1's lowered 1.6" from stock, you're running the exact same compression and rebound travel as stock. This means bumps, speedbumps, potholes, whoop-dee-doo's are all tackled with the same ability as stock. When you put lowering springs on stock dampers, you delete most of your compression travel; this is why lowering springs might be OK for small bumps but they hurt both the car and your kidneys on large bumps.

--->MiniBAH: I bought mine from Group 5 Motorsport, however Mini-Madness also carries them, among others.

Cheers,
Ryan

Love the clubman, but i love the AB MCS with sidewalk edition wheels on it. I wanted to do those or the GP wheels. Now that i see them on a car just like mine makes me want to do it even more.
