I don't mean that Korean coilovers sucks ... no, not at all. Many Korean goods are good, like Hyundai, LG, Samsung.
But Korea is still an Asian country ;)

Well isn't that interesting:lol:

Now I am sorry I unsubscribed from all those previous threads. Weren't M7 claiming that THEY designed and spec'ed the coilovers? That the manufacturer was making the product for them? If the above is true, than they just slapped their logo on.

About USD $1789 by today's exchange rate, if anyone was curious.

Not necessarily. There are two other possibilities:

1) M7 licensed the design to HSD, and HSD is manufacturing the coilover on their own, at a different facility than whoever makes the M7 coilovers. After all, with the price that HSD is charging, M7 wouldn't have to worry about them cannibalizing the US market.

2) HSD is illegally copying the M7 coilovers. (Although it would hardly make sense for them to mention M7 on their website if that were the case.)

Or, you could be right, and M7 has been telling porkies. Lord knows they've been practically "Uber-esque" when it comes to revealing where and by whom their coilovers are made, other than claiming that they're not made "anywhere near" Asia.

Where are they made? Not in China or Taiwan.
That's true if they were made in korea if you wanna get technical....

PGT 08-19-2007 05:17 PM

who'dathunk someone would source private label suspension from Asia?? <shocked>

K-Sport and GPMoto are cheap, decent coilovers for Subaru...both made in Korea. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same....K-Sport shows a MINI Cooper application.

ChrisMCS04 08-19-2007 05:27 PM

Man Randy, I never would have thought that when I talked to you over the phone that you would have lied to me. You said that they were made no where near Asia. That dissappoints me quite a bit, eventhough I am a fan of your products. I do not know if I will be purchasing any after hearing this. I was saving up the money to spend on quite a few things from you guys next summer....but who knows....

mini-ff 08-19-2007 05:38 PM

Come on Peter, anything to say?
