Mini on the scales... what's your Mini weigh?

Has anyone actually weighed their Mini Cooper? I've seen where it was about 2600 lbs w/no driver. Is this correct?

Anybody have insight? If so, mention what model and what options it has on it...

How low can you go.........

Brian Garfield has his MCS for sale on scca forums:

http://www.sccaforums.com/ubb/ultima...p/topic/46/800

His is a "no options" car. He listed the weight as 2475 lbs, which I assume was weighed at a Nat'l tour autox in racing trim (lightweight wheels w/Hoosiers). I'll be curious to see what my '05 MCS weighs w/LSD, cruise, and heated seats (for the wife ), shod with SSRs and Hoosiers. My guess would be 2525 or so. Since this will be my daily driver, I had to have the cruise, and I was told heated seats adds 10 lbs at most. I'll just have to go on a diet.

My '03 MCS with every option weighed just shy of 2800 lb with a full tank of gas. By removing parts and swapping wheels/tires, I got it down to 2612 lb. Here are some of the weights:

Floormats 8 lb
rear seat bottom 10 lb
cargo cover 2 lb
driver side rear seatback 16 lb
passenger side rear seatback 16 lb
jack 6 lb
Total 58 lb of removal
2612 lb w/3 or 4 gallons
2862 w/me (about 8 gallons)
2658 w/o me 9/5/03 6:36 pm
Wheel weight savings60 lb
Exhaust weight savings10 lb
2683 gassed up, race trim
