from Falken...

Welp, this pretty much made my mind up on rims for next season... I've been running 225/50R15 Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, but I'm going back to street tires for next season... And, I was going to run 225/50R15 Azenis, which were scheduled to be released in November, but:

[SIZE=2]Mr. Scott,

Thank you for your interest with Falken Tires.

Unfortunately, Falken will not be making any tires with 225/50R15 size.
The only size we make similar to the 225/50R15 is 205/50R15 RT-615, which is the only size we make in 15".

Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, please feel free in contacting me at your convenience. Thanks and I hope you have a pleasant day.

Best Regards,

I emailed him back and said they're screwing the MINI, Miata, and Honda autocrossers. Guess I'll check out the BFG KD's or z212's, although I near the z212's are VERY narrow for 225's (in fact, the 205/50R15 Azenis are almost as wide)...

Seems like a stupid move on Falkens part, though I am no businessman. Considering the 615s are built for autox and track, they are missing out on a pretty big market segment with the miatas alone. If hankook actually made a 225/50/15 that was as wide as a 225 should be, they could make bank.

I guess this means a 225/45/15 is out of the question.
