Casper's BOO Drive III
 

The third annual Casper and Friends Ghostly Drive will return to Gatlinburg on Saturday, October 28. We will meet again for dinner, admire our MINIs costumes (and our own), parade up and down the main drag in Gatlinburg and then head off into the dark, winding roads of Sevier County. Mark the date and watch for more details to be posted soon.

For anyone coming from out of town, I am planning on staying Saturday night in Gatlinburg. You are welcome to join us.

There are soooo many hotels to choose from that I have been confused. I was trying to find one of the old motor court style motels but I just wasn't sure what kind of quality sleep we would get. I picked this one as it has always looked pretty decent from outside. The lady on the phone was very nice and sounded like she would be excited to have us there. I didn't block any rooms but she said she had a selection at this time. Double queen was $105 including tax.

No, you didn't miss it. The information is on our club message board and I didn't realize it wasn't here also. Here are the details:

Meet for an early dinner at the haunted Greenbrier Restaurant in Gatlinburg at 4:00 to 4:30. If you would like to do the drive only meet at the restaurant about 6PM. We move out of the restaurant parking lot to another area about that time. We would be glad to have you along.

Our next club meeting is on Thursday, October 26. I think the meeting place is still up in the air but watch www.smokymountainmini.org and it will be posted just shortly. :)

Final pre-drive was tonight. Darkness and music together. I scared my own self at one point. Traffic through Gatlinburg is going to be a pill but the sidewalks were full of people. You can see them pointing and talking about Casper. When I saw them I wanted to say, "Come back next week and see a Mini show."

Tentatively, Sheroyn, I (Jim) and Ms. TILLEY will be there. We loved it last year. For some reason nobody as mentioned it in the Carolinas (I guess news travels slow!!). I'll talk it up in Columbia and see who I can bring along.

Feel like a nut; didn't realize this a old post. I'm still searching for '09 BOO!!!

I'm behind on posting.....too much work, not enough fun. The Boo Run will be on October 31 this year. BOO!
