So, why isn't there a NAM magnetic grill badge?
 

I'm sure most of you know about the MotoringFile Magnetic Grill Badges.

I was just wondering why we haven't seen a NAM version. I'm guessing that Gabe and Todd haven't done one because of copyright issues and such.

Are there plans in the works for this? I'd love to sport one on my MINI.

I don't think there are copyright issues; Gabe designed the logo for NAM from what I've been told. I'm sure they coudl work out an agreement of some sort.

it's probably just a matter of time before one is available.

I think much of the reason it was never brought up is the NAM decals so many already have, but I could see a grill badge being a sucess.

Um, maybe because the grill is plastic and a magnetic badge would fall off?

Ok, sorry for the smart*ss reply. A NAM badge would be a great addition to our obsession with all things MINI.

I generously designed all the "Owner's Club Logos" for everyone to use on the forum. I created the Chili Red first and the other colors came from this. I've talked with Mark about creating magnetic badges of these and it is in the works.

That's what I figured. The reason I like the magnetic grill badge is because, in order to clean up all the clutter on my MINI, I decided to be selective with my decals. The badges let me 'represent' without all the clutter.

Ah yes...good times that logo. I still have that AI files sitting around somewhere. Anyway we've not considered it because no one has ever mentioned wanting one. I'm sure if there was enough interest Mark would look into it. Maybe all it needed was this thread :) We'd certainly be happy to do one.
