Hey, new member intro.

Hello everyone,

Names Joe, and I'm the proud new owner of a 2007 Mini Cooper S in Pepper White. I am a fixed operations manager of a Toyota dealership, and we took my Mini in on trade. Has some issues, but it was cheaper than my Fender Stratocaster, so I picked it up for myself. Having a team of great tech's at my disposal, I'm going to try and get this baby going. I think my Mini is experiencing a fuel pump issue, or at least it has the symptoms. It had a torn tube that ran from the turbo to the maf sensor. Picked that up at ecs and replaced. Still have the ruff running issue, so I had my guys run a fuel system cleaning. Did the injectors, throttle body, everything. The previous owner had replaced the timing chain and fuel pump at 80k. Im at 125k now, and out of the extension for the fuel pump. Im replacing a slew of items, mostly using ecs as a supplier. Look forward to my new project, and using the help of this forums members and their knowledge. And if I can assist anyone - I'll do my best.
Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!
Hi Joe!

Welcome to NAM! You have many years of miles and grins ahead of you. Recently picked up an R53 myself and just love it. Let us now if you have any questions - we've been doing this for over 40 years for the street and track, and had the first new MINI in the USA. Please post pix and let us know any mods that were made by prior owners, or that you have planned.

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.

No ECS, I have not. I have run 2 different types of fuel cleanings - but not the walnut type. It was a busy day at Toyota today - so tomorrow, we will test the high pressure fuel pump, and take it from there.

I would have the intake check and walnut blast first, then look at the HPFP. The drop in fuel cleaner will not work on the valves at its Direct inject, those need done.
