Hello,
I have meticulously worked on this Mini to put it back on the road. I have wrenched on every bolt inside that engine bay. The engine is completely refreshed with new crankshaft, block, piston rings, valves, valve seals, etc. It pulls hard for a little 1.6 liter. It sounds great.

I have also put in:
brand new clutch
new transmission fluid
new coolant
engine oil
new control arm bushings (This is a pain in the neck to get replaced, probably saves you $1k in labor)
spark plugs
serpentine belt
brake fluid
freon
fog light bulbs
lower outer ball joints (will be replaced this weekend 11/8)
driver side CV axle (will be replaced this weekend 11/8)


I completely repainted the car with Plasti-dip rubberized paint with a Sora Pearl Blue color. It looks awesome in the sun. If you don't like the color, you can always peel it off and have it original silver color (however the original color had the clear coat peeling off which comes through the Plastidip. It looks great regardless). I also repainted all the black trim to get it to be proper black again with silicone black paint. It worked great.

You might wonder why I would let go of a car like this. Well I like to wrench on cars and my hands are aching for other projects. So here it is. In the meantime I am using this beauty as my commuter car to get as much enjoyment out of it as I can before I have to let it go to someone.

The car's odometer shows 166k miles but the car is in great shape to enjoy for a long time. Car is located in Hillsborough but I travel to High Point almost every weekend and so you can check it out there too.
