The photo in the first thread is what the brakes look like before packing for shipping which looks intact with no apparent marks or damage. Plus he assured me they look great except for a little brake dust which I concur.

I'd be back to square one, plus these brakes don't come up for sale very often and the price WAS right before this happened. Getting a extimate on repainting them but don't know what to do about restoring the John Cooper Works logo.

Update!
Both the seller and I came to a resolution! I give respect to the seller for doing the right thing! (not that his rep as a new seller was ever in jeopardy)
I do believe there was never any malicious intent by the seller to ship the brakes just as the pics show. I'm just dumbfounded that the seller thought it would be okay to ship calipers on top of each other and pack next to themselves metal to metal, paint to paint without any bubble wrap or foam peanuts or even newspapers to protect them and expect they'd arrived in great condition!
I've never really had a problem with items damage from UPS but I also like to give them TWO big thumbs down for one, accepting a questionable box with heavy parts and thought it was okay to ship like that. 2. then proceed to repackage the contents as found in another box without ANY proper packaging material and continue shipping!!!
Anyway I'll either touched them up or totally repaint all four calipers. There was scratches and scrapes on all the components inside the box which isn't that big of deal since it won't be visible once the brakes are installed but it's still disheartening to know a slight misjudgment or a little more forethought could have prevented all this from happening.
I'm just glad I covered my *** and documented nearly every aspect of this transaction!
