Mini rear bumper mounted bike rack on F54

Hey guys,

Can anybody tell will Mini Cooper rear bumper-mounted rack (82-72-2-230-147) for Countryman work for Clubman?
When I read it's specs, it shows that it will fit on F56, Countryman, but there is no information about Clubman.
I don't like roof racks and looking for rear-mounted racks for my Clubman

The rack you have listed there is for the older generation Countryman and won't fit the new Countryman or Clubman as the new F54 and F60 have no rear bike rack option -
There's only one threaded hole to plug into, designed for the tow hook. Trailer hitch would be the only option if you want to avoid roof rack.

It really makes no sense to me that Mini doesn't offer a hitch or a rear-mounted bike rack. Evidently the marketing folks don't think it would increase sales. But with the Clubman and Countryman specifically targeting "active lifestyles", it's a big mistake IMHO. Quite frankly, I would not own the Clubman if there wasn't an aftermarket hitch option. I had a lot of conversations with the folks at Outmotoring and got confirmation that they were developing a hitch, before I placed my order for the Clubman.

I use the hitch nearly every week in the spring, summer, and fall to trail my dirtbike and carry bicycles. It's really a shame that Mini does not offer a hitch option to the US market especially when they already have one designed and sell it to the rest of the world.

The Clubman is low enough that roof mounted bike racks work just fine. I live in the DC area.. I do not trust the other drivers not to rear end and destroy my bikes...I don't have a pic of the mini with my bikes on it, but I do have one of my old car (I kept the bike rack and used them on the mini). I did include the non mini sourced roof rack cross bars to give you an idea of what I use. Sadly I no longer have the Mercedes :(

I'd say that a roof rack is "just fine" until you forget about it and drive into your garage and destroy both your bike and your garage. I think that would be inevitable. It would be for me at least. Plus, putting a bike/kayak up there, has to be pretty tough as a one-person job unless you're 6' + with strong upper-body strength. To each his own, but there is no way that I'd put anything of any size on the roof. I purposely ordered my car without roof rails because I'd never use them and it makes washing/waxing easier (and give it a cleaner look IMHO). However, the bottom line is that choice would be nice. Give us an OEM hitch option along with the roof rack option.

Not trusting other drivers to crash into your bike if it were attached to the end of your car?? What? Do they routinely run into the back of your car? I'm glad I don't live in DC.

MINI offers an OE hitch for the F54, but I bet it's not available in the U.S.
