Due to several events taking place at Chrissy Field that day the starting point has been changed to BSSP in Sausilito. Peter has some directions on how to get ther at the top of this forum. Spread the word.

First let me say that we plan to still make “a night of it” in SF. We have, and several others have, made hotel reservations in SF to spend the night (not exactly cheap). Those that wish to do the same are all welcome to join in on a “non-official/non sanctioned” rogue run in the city by the bay. It will be fun no matter what. Obviously anyone that lives near SF does not need a hotel
Although I have put my name on this event by doing everything possible to help publicize and promote it, I have no control over it (obviously). This news came to me as a posting on , just as it is coming to you. I can’t answer anyone’s questions regarding this event. I suggest that you contact the organizers.
Here is the message that I just got off LarryP: Due to a rally on the bridge and at Chrissy Field plus a MS walk for charity there. The starting point has been moved to the BSSP Agency. #10 Liberty Ship Way, Sausilito. Take the Sausilito exit off 101 follow the Sausilito signs. Its on the left side just past the Bay Model. Let all your people know and post this on your sites. New maps have been made and sent to Sarah.

Though I doubt if it will be difficult to find the event any time after 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, the Ad agency is at #10 Liberty Ship Way, as noted, but it is ACROSS THE Street, i.e. on the opposite side of Liberty Ship Way, from the Bay Model building. It is the first building on the right as you turn off of Bridgeway. Looking forward to seeing lots of friends there.

Not if you're coming from Marinship Way from the North. You'll pretty much run into it after you pass the Bay Model. Also, it's the old Schoonmaker building if you've been around awhile. I worked in that building over 20 years ago, before it was remodeled into office space.Originally Posted by Gary Anderson

The Beach Chalet is a nice place. I have been there a couple of times. They have loads of parking right there and across the street at the beach. Food is very good and they have a micro brewery. It is just down from Cliff House. Cruising Great Highway would be fun, then you can go through Lincoln Park to Sea Cliff and the Presido, Marina, North Beach, and of course it isn't far from Twin Peaks for the best view in town.

I agree, I've thought it would be a good place for a meet/dinner as well. The only question is whether to go to the Beach Chalet or the Park Chalet (below). Reservations can be made via Opentable too Originally Posted by MCLeonard

For a meeting place there is a large free parking lot at Bryant and Embarcadero which is convenient for the East Bay Bridge and coming off of 280 near the ball park, or if people are mostly coming from the north then Marina Green might be nice.

I have a room in SF for the night(Marina area). I should be there around 1pm for some sight seeing. Since I'm totally unfamiliar with SF, hope the group can decide on a meet point that I can map out prior to saturday.
We will have information posted online shortly regarding a meetup point for Saturday site seeing and dinner. We are welcome to ideas aout city night driving but should have a tentative route established by Thursday.

DiD,
The Buena Vista Cafe is one of the cities most famous watering holes. It is located at 2765 Hyde ST. San Francisco, CA 94109 415-474-5044. It is located just across the street from the Hyde St. Cable car station near Fisherman's Warf.
It's signature drink is the Irish Coffee, but has many other poisons as well.

Co-Pilot,
Sorry to hear you won't make it this time. There will be another. I know that Nikki and the Bammers are planning a SF Midnight run on May 27th.
DiD,
Do you need a route map? If so, Peter will be posting it on the REME website. We also have updated route maps for Sunday. You can email me at norm@redwoodempiremini.com and I will send you maps for all the runs.
I can also give you my cell number if you need to contact me on Saturday

Here is a map for Saturday night. The meeting point is fixed although the route is subject to change at any time. Just a reminder no formal dinner reservations have been made at the starting point. If you want to eat there great, or bring a sack dinner and eat in the parking lot prior to departure.
