Nice cars!!
I'm liking those black headlight rings. Did you use plasti-dip? I'm thinking of doing my headlight and taillight rings and grille. |

I did plastidip first, but I guess I used an old can and all ended up fuzzy finish... Didn't like it. Then ordered set of OEM replacement rings from OUTMOTORING: clean! I am waiting my roll of 3M to finish off the front grill trim and rear light rings.... |

What'd you use for the door handles? You said you didn't have good luck with the plasti-dip. Did you buy a kit?
No dippping! Just "transplanted" handle covers from my Clubman... http://sisoje.zenfolio.com/img/s3/v7/p2006694708-4.jpg |

That is an awesome looking MINI! I love the black on black. Getting the windows tinted in mine on friday, can't wait!

Looks like I never got around to posting pics of my stripes! Sprayed them on a couple weeks ago, along with the headlight & taillight rings and MINI emblems.

Redbaron took them off but he said it was a PITA and took awhile so I am hesitant since my patience always runs out. |
Thanks! I took the rings off, but only after reading how redbaron did it. I would have given up long before I ever got them off. After reading how he did it, it was very easy. Much easier than trying to cover everything and dealing with any overspray. I just need to do the grill and beltline next.

and I drove home in this. It originally had 19" wheels and they were beautiful  but practicality won out and I went with the 17" all seasons.
You know, it is really difficult to take good pictures of a black car on a gloomy day. Joel |

MINI finally home
I picked up my Paceman yesterday and had it tinted today. Absolute Black and looking gorgeous! I'll take some pictures this weekend, but so happy with her I had to share the joy.
Planning to do some dipping in my future on those rings. Still debating on if I can remove them or just tape off the car. My other plan was to dip the badging, which is why I want to know how to debage. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my 2006 Astro Black S. We had a great run and made a great team. Lolo:thumbsup: |

I used plasti dip. It's not as durable as actually painting them, but when it does start to show wear you just peel it off and respray. It's very easy stuff to work with and I'd highly recommend it. If for any reason you mess up in the process of putting it on, you wait for it to dry, peel it off, and respray. My stripes, beltline, headlight/taillight rings on my '08 were plasti-dipped for around 8 months when I sold it and it was still holding strong. If you want some extra durability, spray a couple extra coats on.

Arm Rest installed

Thanks! Let me know how plasti-dipping the belt line goes, that's next up on my list when I have time. Then I need to figure out an armrest...I thought I could do without it when I got the car, but every time I get in it I wish I had it...
I did the arm rest a couple of weeks ago, I also thought I could do without, it’s a simple install. make sure you get the new longer bolts to attache the arm rest.
