Wooden roof racks for R60

Hello,

I'm looking to build a wooden roof cargo basket for my R60. Has anyone done this or know someone that has? I'm not sure what I'll use for a top coat yet as well. I do know that I want it to have as little hardware as possible and for it to hold up a long time. I live in Massachusetts so we have a varied mix of weather. Any pics you have would be aoor appreciated as well.

Thanks!

I would suggest using a marine sealant or laquer finish. as for dimensions its what ever you would want it to be to go on the cross bars. I cant say I have seen it, ive seen shopping carts, and another various metal things, wooden would be cool!

I was thinking the same for the sealer. I've used a few marine products and have had great results with them. I think I'm going to do racks and not a basket. I make a lot of trips with lumber and I think racks will be easier.

thanks for your thoughts. I'll post pics when I'm done.
