Biggest tire size for r60 with 2.5" lift

Good afternoon y'all,

As the title suggest I'm looking for an idea of what tires I can use on my r60 that has a 2.5" lift kit on it.

I'm not looking to cut the wheel wells open or do any other mods aside from the lift.

Just looking for some oversized all terrain or even mid terrain tires.

A little back story is that I'll be moving to Oregon from Alaska and they have the gambler 500, so I'm trying to do a taller more off-road worthy build with my countryman.

I also own a r56 cooper that's has a 3" lift. I was able to get some mud tires tires that were a little taller than 28" with some rubbing on one side due to my alignment being off.

Has anyone installed the 2.5" lift? Have any pictures of your builds with it? I've only found builds with the 2" lift so far.

Thanks in advance!

Here's something I copied from M7 - https://www.m7tuning.com/lifted-mini...gen-2-r60-r61/
1.) The M7 Speed R60 2" Lift Kit fits all 2011-2016 R60 Countryman/R61 Paceman models (Base FWD, Base ALL4, S FWD, S ALL4, JCW)
2.) The maximum tire size found not to rub is 225/65R17 (28.5" dia x 8.9" width)
3.) Tire diameters up to 29" and 9.5" wide will work but may require modifications to the wheel lips and inner fenders. Minor inner fender well rubbing will occur during full-lock turning and excessive wheel travel.
4.) Tire diameters greater than 29" and wider than 9.5" will require modifications to the wheel lips and inner fenders.
5.) Larger diameter tires will cause the in car speedometer to read 4-6+ MPH slower than actual speed at 65MPH. Electronic recalibration of the speedometer for different than OE size tires is not yet available.
6.) Trial Fit-up is always highly recommended for any aftermarket wheel and tire combination to ensure adequate tire-to-body and wheel-to-brake clearance

I've seen that one already but it's for the 2" lift, I'm going to guess I can put 29" wheels with the 2.5" lift but I just wanted to make sure.

I'll definitely get some tires for a test fit if I can't get a confirmation though.

I believe it is as much of the fore/aft part of the wheel well as it is the lift.... More lift doesn't mean you can put bigger tires on it than the 2" lift.

Just my 2¢
