Greetings,
I just got an engine light come up on my R56 LCI 2013 Mini Cooper Base

Code Read Out is
P0128 and $7e8.

The coolant levels are good, but my radiator fan turns on immediately after ignition and stays on for good 2 minutes after shutdown of the car.

I am suspecting it is the thermostat is left on open and afraid I have to change the whole housing (housing, thermostat, sensor) as it does not seem modular for my LCI model.
Could this be the problem?

Is it safe to drive? I drove it on the highway yester for under 10 minutes and it throttle response was normal..

So exactly two weeks ago I had this problem solved with
Temp Sensor replaced.

It was fine till yesterday st yesterday the error came up again
Same symptoms I dont know what to do now.
