Oil temp or pressure? For OBD

The lake of a temperature gauge in my 07 MCS has always bothered me. Most cars have a gauge. I solved this by getting an OBD device that uses bluetooth to connect to an old cell phone I have and the Torque Lite app. I have it mounted on the dash and can see the engine coolant temperature at a glance.

I'd like to add a gauge for oil pressure or oil temperature. I can get a paid upgrade for Torque, but the gauge only works if there is a sensor for oil (temp or pressure) rather than a switch that just senses a fault and trips an idiot light. Does anyone know if the R56 has a sensor for oil temp or pressure?

Not sure but no at least my 09 r56 with dashcomand can not display oil tame nor presur.

I'm using a Scangauge II and I can read oil temp, but not oil pressure. 2011 and newer models have more parameters that are available.

Sorry on the early N14 cars the Oil pressure isn't on the bus system so you can't read it off the OBD. On the N18 cars the Scangauge can read it off the OBD.

To get oil pressure you'll need to install a real mechanical gauge with a tap to install the sending unit.
