I have a 2012 Clubman and looking for some fn the various kits available for blacking out the door handles.
Lots of options out there from cheap plastic covers to new handles from BMW.
What do you guys suggest?

What color is your Clubman? I personally like the chrome handles on my Reef Blue.

We have some here which i use and like, color and fitment is correct to the black line you find in OEM. Nice finish. Watch for the comfort access as they have the little soft rubber button (if you have it) Most places sell other types and dont mention all the qwirks of MINIs.

Chili Red. I agree the chrome looks better with the Blue. But I like the Black with the Red.

I bought a $25 pair of handle covers in gloss black for my R56 on ebay. They fit but the molding isnt perfect, it doesn't cover the handle 100%, its about 96% covered. Cant tell from more than 2 feet away so im fine with it. If i were to buy again i think i would buy the ECS carbon fiber handle covers but im not sure they have a set for R55

For the Clubman we just have checkered and black no Carbon Fiber yet. We have lots of Carbon Fiber Real (some are design and some are real as noted, not real carbon fiber (just a print)) linked for the R50-F60 MINIs above. All linked above.

The carbon looks really good and I would say its the same level as the Duell AG Carbon fiber handle as i have a set of those also. The ECS gloss black one fits good over the chrome. If you have factory Checkered or Union Jack handle side handle(rare but they had them, most are nla now) , those are actually larger as MINI had a cover cap put on those. I know as i have the NLA checkered factory handle and the outside cover is a hair larger so when you add aftermarket ones they cover 90%. So i would switch back to the chrome factory or aftermarket chrome URO ones. You will not get that kind of info from other places as they are not MINI old school guru
