More update on mods for Icarus. I uploaded the MTH Tuner File that takes the hardware mods (pulley, cai, plugs) into consideration. I can tell that it really smoothes out the power delivery. It makes it easier to get the power to the ground. I'm probably going to dyno this Thur now that I've got the prequisite 500 miles on the file. I'll post the delta if there is one. It will interesting to see if there are any extra ponies. It feels like there are a few more. Regardless if there are, the delivery is very nice!

Welcome ImagoX and ONOFIVEO! Always good to see more Hot Orange on the roads.
Just for info, I posted on the Spotter Cards thread in Site Feedback with a design for a Hot Orange Spotter Card 'advertising' our Frappr map. Now I just have to find another Hot Orange MINI. |
I was driving down the road the other day, and another orange Mini drove right up behind me. this was on 270 near the Dublin exit, in case that person makes their way in here and reads this- it was a woman with shortish hair. The car was, ironically, the one we looked at at the dealership and decided against (it had the Chrono pack which I don't like). She still had her temp tag on and everything. It must have looked hillarious to other people on the road. :)

I have not seen one..
in columbus yet and i am over there a couple times a year.
We need tags to put on MINI's to invite them to our clubs" Thats my MINI idea".. It should say "welcome to the club now motor over to NAM and find your Color Club then join their frappr" Gabe could sell them like the grill badges! |
I saw one in Florida. I cannot believe they're not on NAM. It was in Marco Island. They had the stickers on the side of the car like the old fighter pilots had. A cople of SUV's and other type cars. I'll try to post a link. We thought it was so funny I stopped my motorcycle and had my wife take a picture.
I found the picture and will attempt to post it to my gallery and link to this thread. Note the stickers under the mirror... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co.../IMG_00471.jpg https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ze=big&cat=500 |

any HO's planning to attend the Minis in the Mountains at Copper Mountain in Colorado in August? i know of 4 others in denver but they rarely make any of the rides. i find myself not only representing local cabrios but also HOs at the club rides. would be nice to run into other HOs at Copper Mountain. saw about 4 others at Minis on the Dragon but didn't get a chance to visit. hope to see somebody there.

Unfortunately we can't make MITM this year, but are thinking about trying next year. We will be at MOTD 2007, so hopefully we can get together.

I wonder how many HO MINIs
Are going to make it to the MTTS program?

We'll be there for the St Louis-Indy leg, and may try to join the group on the Nashville-St Louis part enroute.

The damaged door has been replaced and they were going to start painting today. They are still waiting on some interior trim pieces, but they're just about finished with the repairs. One thing about repairing a MINI, it takes longer to get the parts than to do the repairs. One thing we have noticed about the Hot Orange MINIs: all the Motoring Advisors we talked to (three dealers) said people were always VERY hesitant to order the color(looking at the color samples/literature in the dealership). However, if the dealership ordered one to put on their lot, it generally wouldn't be there more than a few days. We were the same way. We looked at the color in the sales brochures and hated it. Then we saw one at a dealership and fell in love with the color. |
Funny when I ordered mine, they did not even have one, i knew in my head it would look good and when I built it online.
|
I finally got my hot orange mini!!
My first mini was stolen! so it only took them 2 months for mine to come in!! I love the vert alot better than the hard top but i am a vert person!! |

Only other choice would have been Pepper White..
But it was off the color chart then untill people wanted it back...then it came in fact I saw one at the autoX I was at.
The flamanco orange would have been nice if they would have brought it to the US. It was shown on a hardtop. Very bright orange. I should have went for the orange seats too. |
Bumping back to the top and still looking for more Hot Orange MINIs!
|
Lets hope these will fit...

I love HO!
I ordered "Beaker" on the 17th, yeah!
|
Welcome April! I like your choice of names for your MINI.
When is Beaker scheduled to arrive? Be sure to post pics when bring him home. I see you have already placed yourself on our Frappr map. |
Miska - I'm there :-) I'm the Batavia Ohio one (I just changed the name to match - it might take a minute for it to update)
