OK, I give up on the link. Here is the story and the photo:

A Tampa listener emailedl MJ photos of a Mini Cooper crash. This afternoon a lady drove her red Mini Cooper into the fountain at the Carillon complex in Tampa.

Wow that seems like it would be pretty hard to do :eek2: if you were sober that is

Gromit801 Sep 15, 2006 09:16 AM

Of course none of the photos are showing up either.

There lately seems to be a photo hosting site that is only Windows compatible. Lot's of blue squares with question marks in them.

71COOP Sep 15, 2006 09:36 AM

I'm really disappointed with the articulation of the car....oh wait, this isn't the 4x4 forum!:)

Gromit801, Trick's link worked for me on my iMac and Safari, but Gator123's doesn't. Same with you?

STLMINI Sep 15, 2006 09:42 AM

how'd that happen? sheeeesh.

Gator123 Sep 15, 2006 09:58 AM

Sorry guys. I swear the pictures were there when I initially posted them.

At least Trick's "Happy Link" works. Thanks Trick!

It wasn't being washed regularly and took matters into its own hands.

capnmini Sep 15, 2006 11:15 AM

:eek2: WOW sometimes i wonder how certain people get their drivers license? those pics look like she was really trying to get that poor MINI stuck:cry:

Donna/Mike Sep 15, 2006 11:19 AM

I guess that "twistie" around the fountain was a little too much for the driver...  Either that or they thought they were on a circular track.

Donna:cool:

everytimeidie027 Sep 15, 2006 11:27 AM

I think that they just werent showing up because you put "Http:" twice for the link, and probably for the images too, but thanks for the story

everytimeidie027 Sep 15, 2006 11:29 AM

Sorry double post

Mini Mizer Sep 15, 2006 11:35 AM

perhaps the mini was over heating and needed a refreshing dip to cool itself down

Gator123 Sep 15, 2006 11:40 AM

Good catch everytimeidie027. I fixed the original link and it now seems to work.

Weird thing is that one time when I checked the thread the photos showed up and the other couple of times I have been back they are blank with the little red X in the corner.

Eric_Rowland Sep 15, 2006 12:00 PM

Think the engine stayed running long enough to hydrolock?

gokartride Sep 15, 2006 12:05 PM

It was being chased by that d*mn helicopter!!!!:eek2: I wonder if the gold is safe???

Ords Sep 15, 2006 12:06 PM

It looked like she was testing its' deep water capability.

gokartride Sep 15, 2006 12:10 PM

I wonder if the phrase "hey, watch this" was involved....

Personally to me it looks like the driver was on the road next to the fountain and lost control. Just my opinion.
