I'm In Production
This morning Ask MINI said my MINI was In Production with a completion date of 3/10. After three weeks of On Order it's moving now!!! Is there an Official March Build thread going???
Jim D. 2005 MC HB/W (in production) |
Congratulations! Enjoy the process (although I remember the agony of the wait all too well). You'll be motoring in no time
Have fun memorizing all the relevant numbers (ASK MINI, VIN number, then your ship's call sign, etc.) |
Congrats and good luck!
Make sure you enjoy the process... and... dont forget to check on this site... being connected to the awesome community of MINI owners that we have here makes time fly! |
Oh my Gosh, I'm drooooling. Can't wait for my order to catch up!

Released to Carrier
Mine went from "in the paint shop" to "released to carrier" (ASK MINI) this morning  Estimated production completion 3/08/05 so it's on schedule.
The OL web page is still on "scheduled for production" ... Curious to see what ship it'll be loaded onto for west coast delivery. Scott 05 MC HB/W - like Jim's |
Congrats

What I've learned - WW, KLine
So my car is going to the west coast and while I'd read somewhere that Kline = west coast, on the actual K Line site, the route maps show east coast only. WW does show the west coast deliver and so it appears that I *should* be able to track.
Now where does the information come of which ship? The OL seems to be far from up to date. The WW (& K Line) sites both have lists of schedules, including auto transport. I guess it's just track on your VIN once a day and eventually it'll hit - any experience? Scott |
On the WW site, you can track your VIN once and it'll give you the complete schedule, and then you can check back once in awhile to see if the boat has been delayed anywhere. No idea about the K Line site.
