It's the JCW brake duct kit from Way Motors. Installation is straight forward but you need to be careful with measurement and location. Place painter tape over the area to be cut, locate the duct and make sure it's straight/centered from front and trace outline of duct's perimeter (use left for right and vice versa). Then draw another parallel line 1/2" inside of this perimeter line. This is the line you cut to. Rivet as I did or bond. The routing duct inside are zip tied to the entry and it will point to the inside of the brake disk.

I have been meaning to update my MINI posts since spring, as over the winter I have done a few more updates that I guess add to the “meanness” but mostly for better cosmetic appreciation. I sanded, filled, and repainted my wheels to a darker mag grey. I also added the vinyl stripe to cover up the large rock chips in the front and some paint distortion in the rear. (Not a big fan of ricer stripe but its better then paint chips) This is a little past the 2 year anniversary for me and this car “MY FIRST CAR” and I got to say it’s been awesome. From the very first picture post on this thread is of when I first got the car, it’s had some leaks and things need fixing but has been fun to work on none the less. The car brought me through my Tech College and now got a decent design career away. I can’t say I have brought this car a long ways from before but I think I have really improved it in a more mature way. I have been really glad to be a part of the group of owners and apart of the community here. In the next few days we will be hitting 150,000 miles and although it’s kind of sad to have a high mileage car, I never want to sell it and hope to one day fix the rust from WI and bring it back to mint shape. Hope I can continue to use one of the oldest MINIs brought originally to the US!
P.S. The MINI has a new friend…..
