Can't open the passenger door

I have an 04 basic mini and I am having a problem getting the passenger door open. It had set idle for a month or so and when I got into it, I noticed several things. The floor on the passenger side was soaked and there was a moisture trail coming out of the speaker grill. The other thing I noticed was that the lock system was only working on the hatch lock. I couldn't unlock the front doors using the remote, the toggle in the dash or using the inside door latches. I assume something has seized up in the passenger door but I can't figure any way to open the door to take the door panel off. The only way I can unlock the front doors is with the key but since the passenger door doesn't have a keyed entry, I am out of luck. Does anyone have any suggestions how to open that door or what might be going on?

Sounds like the window seal is shot and water is getting inside, more then likely has covered the motors and has it all messed up. (Pulling the inside door handle twice will open the door from the inside).

i would start by spraying the motors and connectors with WD40 then Electronics cleaner... the while the motors and connectors are soaking, use a multi-meter and make sure the wiring is good (this will also check the fuse).

The big bigger issue is double checking and getting those leaking seals replaced, or the issue will not go away.

Best of luck with it.

Motor on!

But it sounds like the BCM could have been wet or did get moisture in it, from the leak. Its in the kick panel by the floor.

Thats the two places I would start.
